Description

Set within Cabrillo National Monument, this protected rocky shoreline is divided into high, middle, and low intertidal zones shaped by shifting waters. Different bands of rock reveal limpets, barnacles, sea stars, and spiny lobsters anchored among the algae. The area is a draw for coastal hiking and nature observation, especially during fall and winter when extreme low tides occur during daylight hours.
