Description

Set along Guadalupe Street as the commercial district’s central courtyard, the grounds are framed by plaza-surround seating. The site has long served as a civic gathering point, having hosted Pope John Paul II in 1987 alongside a Mexican president and U.S. presidential hopefuls.

Today, the plaza anchors neighborhood cultural life with events ranging from Fiesta’s Piñatas en el Barrio and the Diez y Seis de Septiembre Mexican Independence celebration to Una Noche en La Gloria, the San Anto Cultural Arts Huevos Gala, and the Barrio Boo Halloween festival.
