Cooling Play
E.M.T. Christopher J. Prescott Playground is designed for younger children, with soft surfaces, ramps, slides, and low exits. Entry is free, and seasonal sprinklers add a water-play option. The playground is open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Reports also mention overgrown landscaping, litter, and mosquitoes, which are practical conditions to account for when planning a family visit.
Meer-Side Features
East 110th Street Playground sits beside Harlem Meer, with lawns, shoreline walks, fishing, a wooden climber, and swings. Its seasonal water-play area becomes open space during colder months. The playground is currently temporarily closed, so the surrounding Meer setting is the usable part of this stop for now.
