🎨 Studios Open 2 to 4 PM

🏭 The 1866 Iron Works

Pioneer Works has run Second Sundays as a free monthly open house since 2013, and November's edition lands on Sunday, November 8, noon to 6 pm. The red brick building went up in 1866 for the Pioneer Iron Works, which made railroad tracks and heavy machinery. Three current exhibitions stay up all day across three floors, while nine artists in residence open their studios from 2 to 4 pm.

🎨 Afternoon in the Studios

Focus on two or three highlights and let the rest unfold naturally. Visit the resident artist studios between 2 and 4 pm to see work in progress, drop by Dustin Yellin's studio next door, or catch Barbès presenting live salsa dura from 4 to 6 pm with DJ CONA.

🌅 Out the Door at Four Thirty

RSVP on Eventbrite first, admission is free and open to all ages. Take the B61 to King Street or the NYC Ferry to Red Hook, both about five minutes from the door. If the weather is clear, head out to Valentino Pier around 4:40 to 4:50 to catch the sunset over the harbor before walking five minutes to Sunny's.
