Pinot Up North or Tempranillo an Hour South: You Choose
Four small-production wineries, lunch included, and cellar doors where an owner or winemaker sometimes pours.
Oregon Vine to Wine Tours runs this as a private day out of Eugene. The listing describes four small-production wineries over the day, and says you sometimes meet the owners and winemakers at the cellar door. 31 of the 34 reviews, from 2014 through 2026, name the same guide, Kevin, and several describe him choosing the wineries around what the group likes to drink.
All 34 reviews on this listing give five stars. Lunch, beverages and the driving are covered.

The price is USD 525 per adult, the same for a party of two, three or four. A couple pays USD 1,050 in total. Everyone needs to be 21 or older. Booking closes 48 hours before the start, and the operator confirms each request manually.
Private Wine Tour with Tastings from EugeneAn 8-hour private day for two to four adults, with hotel pickup, a guide, wine tastings, lunch and beverages.www.viator.comAn Hour South for Bigger Reds

The listing builds one fork into the full day. Ask for bigger reds such as Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the day heads to the Roseburg area, about an hour south of Eugene. That's the Umpqua Valley, and a 2025 reviewer wrote about doing exactly that tour.
On its own website, the operator frames the other branch as Pinot Noir: that full day heads north from Eugene to the Eola-Amity Hills near Salem, where marine winds cool the vineyards and keep the grapes' acidity high. A 2023 reviewer did that day, as did several earlier groups. One 2019 group stayed around Eugene instead, with four stops and Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Malbec in the glass. Pickup in Salem and Roseburg is available too.
Who Pours, and What's for Lunch

Past guests describe what meeting the makers looked like: barrel tastings, a glass drawn straight from the barrel with the winemaker, owners sitting down to tell the winery's story. Each came from a different guest's day, and none is a fixed part of the itinerary.
Lunch is part of the booking. Guests have described a spread of bread, meats and cheese, and one 2022 group ate in a private gazebo overlooking a vineyard.
A Wine 101 Before the First Pour
Several guests describe the drive out as a crash course. A 2024 reviewer got a "Wine 101" on the way to the first winery, and a mother who brought her 26-year-old son for his first tasting wrote about the same primer. Others write about the guide's ties with owners and winemakers, and how much time those winemakers gave them.
"He opened our minds about food and wine pairings," a guest wrote in June 2026. A 2016 reviewer singled out how the explanations met a group with mixed levels of interest.
Fridays, Saturdays and the Fine Print
The booking calendar runs only on Fridays and Saturdays, with a 10:00 AM start. The day lasts about eight hours.
- Included: hotel pickup and drop-off, a professional guide, wine tasting, lunch, beverages and transport by private vehicle.
- Not included: gratuities, and some tasting fees. The operator's own website, as of 2024, said tasting fees are extra: around USD 10 to 20 a person in the Roseburg area and USD 15 to 50 around Salem, often waived if you buy a minimum amount of wine.
- Every guest needs to be 21 or older. The tour isn't recommended for pregnant travelers, and a moderate level of fitness is expected.
- Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund. Inside 24 hours there is no refund.
- A mobile or paper ticket is accepted.
📍 There's no meeting point to find. Pickup is from centrally located hotels and B&Bs in Eugene, and the listing also offers it in Salem and Roseburg. About eight hours later you're dropped back where you started, and more than one reviewer went home with a case or a few bottles from the day.
