Description

Across this Washington Square West corner, the composition pairs each of the nine muses with a sphere symbolizing the perfect art form, threaded with circular motifs like a compass. Alongside references to works by local creators, the public work is notable for how it was assembled: Saligman produced the entire mural in her studio on polyester parachute cloth, adhering the large fabric squares to the exterior wall with an acrylic gel.
