Five distinct penguin species share a chilly simulated Antarctic habitat built to mirror true polar conditions.
Description
The habitat at SeaWorld San Diego incorporates the low light levels experienced during an Antarctic winter. Inside, the resident colony brings together King, Adelie, Gentoo, Chinstrap, and Macaroni penguins. While standard viewing follows the birds across the enclosure, specialized add-ons like the Penguins Up-Close Tour and the Ultimate On-Ice Penguin Experience bring participants onto the ice in temperatures dropping as low as 20 degrees.
