📚 The Signing

🇰🇷 Inside the Book

Attendance is free with advance registration recommended, and books are available for purchase on site. Judy Joo built her reputation on Korean cooking as host of Korean Food Made Simple. Her new cookbook, Mukja! Let's Eat, written with Jessica Do, gathers more than 75 recipes pulled from the K-dramas, films and K-pop videos, moving from banchan and bubbling stews to noodles, snacks and sweets. The publisher's description opens on dalgona coffee and sugar-crusted corn dogs as signs of K-food's moment. Copies reach stores on November 10, two days before the signing.

🛒 The Market Floor

The signing happens on the lower level of Chelsea Market, where Pearl River Mart Foods stocks Asian groceries, snacks and pantry staples. Joo sits with her books, signs copies and talks with whoever comes up to the table. Books are sold at the event, and the market keeps its own shelves open until 7 PM.

🚇 Timing and Getting There

Thursday, November 12, from 5:30 to 7 PM. The address is 75 9th Avenue, between West 15th and West 16th Streets, and the food market sits on the lower level. Take the A, C, E or L to 14th Street and 8th Avenue, then walk west and up a block and a half, about six minutes. Attendance is free, and an Eventbrite sign-up helps the shop plan.
