Surrounded by eucalyptus and the occasional native tree, the grounds offer a secluded mountain atmosphere with direct hiking access to the Mokuleia Trail. Clear nights provide conditions for excellent star gazing along the ridge. Reaching camp is a rugged venture in itself: access demands a sturdy 4WD vehicle or a challenging hike, navigating a road that can turn impassable during rain to reach assigned spots that each include an individual shelter.
