PCC Sylvania Learning Garden
attraction
A cooperative campus living laboratory for organic gardening, complete with an eco-roofed cob bench.
Description
Serving as an educational setting, the garden allows individuals and groups to teach and learn through organic gardening. In 2010, it was a site for the Village Building Convergence natural building festival, and the grounds feature a hand-made cob bench sheltered by an eco-roof. Infrastructure continues to evolve as well, with the development of a rainwater catchment system and new vermiculture facilities.
