Pathfinder Park
4.1 (11)park
An aviation park by the airfield, anchored by a 17-foot monument honoring pioneering Boeing test pilot Clayton Scott.
Description

Positioned at the south entrance of Renton Municipal Airport, the grounds commemorate Clayton "Scotty" Scott, who established the Gulf of Alaska commercial air route as well as test-flew early Boeing aircraft. Dedicated on Scott's 101st birthday in 2006 by the Museum of Flight and directed by former NASA astronaut Dr. Bonnie Dunbar, the central "PATHFINDER" work brings together bronze, aluminum, stone, earth, and plants.
