Parr Hall

Warrington's Palmyra Square holds this Edwardian concert hall, where touring comedians, live music, and theatre share a stage. One visitor finds the place "lovely & welcoming," run by people for the people, and even from the back row upstairs the atmosphere pulls you into the action. But the hall was never designed for electronically amplified music, and little has been done to improve that over the years, so energy and warmth often come with murky sound.
