A preserved 1930 art deco movie palace in downtown Denver featuring striking Zig Zag Moderne design and a historic Wurlitzer organ.

Description

Originally built as a movie palace in 1930, the downtown venue showcases Zig Zag Art Deco architecture alongside original horizontal murals and a historic Wurlitzer organ. The 1,865-seat house combines intimate acoustics with the energetic scale of a grand hall, hosting a diverse roster of concerts, comedy shows, and cultural events while retaining much of its vintage character. Visitors note that while the interior preserves its Jazz Age ornamental design, seating in temporary setups can feel tight and intermission restroom lines tend to run long.
