Description

Before dedicating its current grounds in June 1935, the temple took shape in a private residence under Reverend Kokan Matsumoto and Reverend Myosei Matsumoto. The founders formally established the site after training and ordination at Aira Kwannon Temple in Kumamoto under Archbishop Kocho Chida. Leadership then passed through successive generations: Rev. Myosei guided the congregation following Kokan's death in 1944 until their son, Bishop Chiko Matsumoto, returned in 1958 to minister through faith in Kwannon Bosatsu, later followed by fourth head priest Reverend Eshin Matsumoto.
