Description
Renamed in 1996, the facility honors Samoan American sports icon Sululagi Palega Jr., who grew up in the neighborhood, honed his game here, and starred for Balboa High and City College of San Francisco.
Beyond its commemorative roots, the site functions as an everyday community base with after-school programs for children, playground climbing structures, and tennis courts and picnic spaces. Open grounds also accommodate dog walking alongside casual games of soccer and basketball.
