Open Meadow Park
4.3 (6)park
A quiet grassy St. Johns field framed by heritage oaks, with open views of passing trains and the Willamette River.
Description

Acquired by Portland Parks & Recreation as nearly three acres of parkland, the site is a simple open field oriented around passive activities such as picnics, reading, and relaxing. Two designated Portland Heritage Trees—both Oregon white oaks—anchor the green space, looking out toward the river and the West Hills. Visitor impressions reflect that simplicity: some note it is quite literally just an open field with water views, while others appreciate having a quiet spot to watch passing trains.
