Open-Air Bus From the Walk of Fame to Beverly Hills
Two hours by open-air bus past Hollywood theaters, Mulholland and Beverly Hills homes, with one stop at the Beverly Hills sign.
This is the short version of a celebrity homes tour: two hours on an open-air bus that leaves from Hollywood Boulevard, climbs into the hills on Mulholland Drive and runs through Beverly Hills. The driver narrates as you go, and the operator's FAQ says the tours are conducted only in English. The listing and the operator's homepage also list a pre-recorded, GPS-activated app audio guide in ten languages.
The Beverly Hills sign is the only scheduled stop, and everything else on the route is seen from your seat.
Access Hollywood Tours sells the tour, and its terms name Hollywood Bus Tours, LLC as the company that operates it. Its FAQ says that as of 2026 it has joined the Hollywood Bus Tours family, and it promises upgraded vehicles. Hollywood Bus Tours describes its buses as smaller, 15-passenger open-top buses.

As of October 16, 2026, the booking calendar showed nine departures a day: 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 AM, then every hour on the half hour from 12:30 to 5:30 PM, with no departures on Thanksgiving (November 26) or Christmas Day. One booking takes up to nine travelers. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead for a full refund.

Every landmark on this route is marked as a pass-by on the listing. That covers TCL Chinese Theatre and the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, Mulholland Drive, the Sunset Strip and its historic music venues, Rodeo Drive, and the Beverly Hills streets where the house-spotting happens. The operator's own highlight list adds Laurel Canyon and West Hollywood, and its terms note that the route may vary and that viewing access to some sites can change without notice.
The Hollywood Sign is seen from Mulholland Drive as the bus passes, and the listing schedules no photo stop for it. Hollywood Bus Tours says its tours get as close as legally possible, for photos from a distance; a traveler in January 2024 who expected a stop wrote that the group never saw the sign from an ideal spot. In October 2023 the Los Angeles City Council also approved barring tour buses from stopping along two stretches of Mulholland Drive, one of them including the Jerome Daniels Scenic Overlook. A close look at the sign is a separate outing.
Celebrity Homes, Mostly Gates and Hedges

The listing calls them current and former celebrity homes, and its roll call includes Madonna, Tom Cruise and Katy Perry. The operator's own list reaches back to Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. Treat the names as stories told from the curb. Who lives there today is a separate question.
Travelers writing between 2020 and 2025 say many of the houses sit behind gates, walls or tall hedges. A 2025 traveler added that many of the homes were reportedly lived in by actors from much earlier periods. The driver's commentary is what carries the two hours.
One Stop at the Beverly Hills Sign
The single stop is the Beverly Hills sign in Beverly Gardens Park, for photos and a restroom break. The listing gives it 15 minutes. The operator's booking note says 10, so plan on the shorter figure. The Beverly Hills visitors bureau's site says the park's ADA-accessible public restrooms are on Santa Monica Boulevard at North Canon Drive, near Ringo Starr's Peace & Love sculpture.
There is no restroom on the bus. The operator says restrooms are available at the departure point, so use them before you board. Its FAQ says tours usually run in light rain and may be canceled on short notice in severe weather, and Hollywood Bus Tours says it hands out free rain ponchos on rainy days. Travelers add their own notes: one in 2023 said the covered top helped on a bright day, and one in 2025 suggested a sweater for anyone who gets chilly.
Who Can Ride, and What the Bus Expects
The listing marks the tour as suitable for all fitness levels, but the Access Hollywood Tours FAQ says the vehicles are not wheelchair accessible: riders need to transfer on their own and manage several steps inside the vehicle. The FAQ is more specific, and it is the one to plan around.
The listing includes car seats for young children, and both companies' FAQs suggest bringing your own. The listing and the Hollywood Bus Tours FAQ draw the line at under eight or shorter than 4 feet 9 inches. The Access Hollywood Tours FAQ says under nine or under 40 pounds and notes that California requires the seats. Hollywood Bus Tours adds that its supply is limited and handed out first come, first served. The listing also ticks stroller access; for the ride itself, the FAQs ask for a car seat or booster.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome on board. Alcohol, smoking and vaping are not. Tips are not included, and the operator says its drivers appreciate them.
📍 Check in inside the Hollywood Visitor Center at 7044 Hollywood Blvd 15 minutes before departure. The operator says buses leave on schedule and cannot wait for late arrivals, and Hollywood Bus Tours says seating goes by check-in order, so earlier arrivals choose first. Its booking system lists the same address as the end point. For parking, the Access Hollywood Tours FAQ points to 1670 N. Sycamore Ave and puts all-day rates at around 20 dollars depending on the season; the booking note suggests the garages at 7021 Hollywood Blvd, which the Hollywood Partnership directory lists as Hollywood Galaxy Parking at 2.50 dollars per 15 minutes, with a 20-dollar daily cap from Monday to Friday 5 PM and a flat 20 dollars from then through Sunday. Neither is run by the tour company, and there is no hotel pickup. The ride ends back on the Walk of Fame, a short walk from the theaters you passed at the start.
