Olympic Lifting, Bakery Plates, and a Noisy Bench
Try coached lifting or accessible beginner classes, or use the gym for a self-directed routine. The bakery menu spans brunch, lunch, and evening, while the roadside green space is a brief sit with highway sound and limited amenities.
Indoor Training and Outdoor Pause
222 Lafayette Dining Windows
Crispy Heaven is a walk-in bakery with table seating for brunch and dinner later in the week. Morning plates include French toast, an ACME smoked salmon platter, and a bacon-and-egg sandwich with spicy sauce. Lunch shifts to vegetable soup with bread, butter, and jam, plus wagyu sandwiches. From Thursday through Saturday, evening service runs 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with blistered-crust pizzas on the menu.

Three Workout Formats
At 33 West End Avenue, CrossFit SPOT runs coached classes in Olympic lifting, beginner CrossFit, and dedicated teen workouts. Coaches correct form and offer practical tips while sessions stay challenging and accessible. The fully equipped floor also supports self-directed routines. Weekday hours are 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with weekend hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A short walk or Citibike ride connects the gym with Columbus Circle.

Roadside Bench Pause
Crosson Green is a compact Queens pocket park beside the BQE, with shade trees and a walkway lined with benches. It works as a basic sitting area. Traffic noise carries across the strip from the adjacent highway. There are no restrooms, playgrounds, or picnic facilities. Free public access is available to visitors daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Woodside Avenue and 69th Street.
