Description

Spread across several blocks, the park commemorates the site of the first European settlement in California with preserved and reconstructed buildings from 1820 to 1870. Museums and historic landmarks anchor the grounds, including Casa de Estudillo and the Seeley Stable. Set on Kumeyaay ancestral land, the site also shares the story of the First People through the outdoor exhibit Iipay ~ Tipai Kumeyaay Mut Niihepok (Land of the First People).
