Old Stone House
4.2 (433)museum
Washington's oldest standing 1765 structure in Georgetown, featuring historical exhibits and a quiet English country garden.
Description

Built in 1765, this colonial-era structure operates as a museum managed by the National Park Service. Visitors enter past a large park store directly behind the entrance, while exhibits in the former kitchen detail the history of the building. The interior provides unexpected insulation from outside street noise, complemented outside by an 18th-century English country garden. While general access centers on the ground level, ranger-guided tours occasionally reach upper floors on designated days.
