Description

Purchased by the Korean Empire in 1889, the property operated as an official diplomatic legation until 1905. Its first two floors recreate that working diplomatic presence with restored reception rooms, offices, dining areas, and bedrooms reflecting their late 19th-century appearance. Up on the third floor, a dedicated exhibition space details Korean-American relations alongside the building's journey through the Japanese colonial period and its eventual repurchase by South Korea and overseas heritage trusts.
