Old Faithful in Summer, Gardiner to Cooke City in Winter
Two tours share one title on this booking form, and the difference between them is written on the park's road map. From early November to late April the National Park Service keeps only one road through Yellowstone open to regular vehicles, so that is the one the winter van drives and the summer van drives everything else. Either way it is a whole day, leaving at seven in the morning from wherever you are staying.
Summer Tour and Winter Tour sit under one title here. They cost different amounts, run in different months, and cover different ground.
A road calendar explains it. From early November to late April, the only road the National Park Service keeps open to regular vehicles runs from the North Entrance at Gardiner through the park to Cooke City. The rest of the park, including the stretch that reaches Old Faithful, reopens in stages through April and May and closes again at the end of October.
So the date you choose decides which Yellowstone you get.

The summer run is the long loop. The operator's description names Old Faithful, Yellowstone Lake, Hayden Valley, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, at least two geyser basins, Calcite Springs and Mammoth Hot Springs, and says in the same breath that it will do its best to see most or all of them. Wildlife stops happen whenever something is standing near the road.
Food is where the two seasons part company. The inclusion list on this booking puts lunch under Summer Tour and snacks under Winter Tour. The operator's own reservation system lists lunch on both items, using one block of text for each. On a winter date, plan for snacks and carry more food than you think you need.
Both seasons leave at 7:00 AM. The booking sells a ten-hour day. The operator's own summer listing calls it twelve hours, and its FAQ asks for ten to twelve and no dinner reservations that evening.

The winter option is one sentence on the booking form: in through Gardiner, out to Cooke City, turn around and come back. That stretch is open every day of the year, and in those months it is the only road through the park a van can use. Everything else is handed over to snowmobiles and snowcoaches from mid-December to mid-March.
The trade is plain. Old Faithful is off the table from November through April, because the road that reaches it is closed. What is on the table is a park with almost nobody in it. The operator's FAQ puts it in a line: come see us in the winter, we are almost alone.
Your Pickup Time Is Set After You Book

There is no address to show up at. The booking lists a hundred named hotel pickup points, more of them in West Yellowstone than in Bozeman, with the rest spread across Livingston, Gardiner, Belgrade, Three Forks, Big Sky, Gallatin Gateway and Pray. It also accepts a pickup spot that is not on that list. The operator says it can collect you and your group anywhere in the area, and that the guide confirms the time once the reservation lands.
That has a consequence for the clock. The 7:00 AM figure is the departure, and the operator says pickup times vary with where you are staying. Its FAQ puts the Bozeman day at a minimum of ten hours and says Livingston and Gardiner run a bit shorter.
Party size has two floors, one per season. A single reservation takes up to thirteen travellers, and the booking form will accept one name while the listing asks solo travellers to call first. The operator's own summer item will not open a departure for one person: it wants two names on the first booking. Its winter item takes one. Children are priced from five years old, and under-fives cannot be booked.
What the Gate Costs, and Who Hands It Over
Park entry is not in the price. Neither are tips.
Two meters run at the gate. Every non-US resident aged 16 and over pays 100 dollars per person, unless they are admitted on an Annual or America the Beautiful pass. The booking says that fee is collected at the destination; it is not part of the ticket price. Children under 16 are admitted free and are not counted in it.
The other meter is the vehicle. The park bills a road-based commercial tour by seat count, and a van built for 7 to 15 passengers is 125 dollars whatever the headcount inside. The operator's FAQ says park entry fees are paid on a per person or family basis and are not covered by the tour. Neither side publishes what that works out to per head, so treat it as a number the guide gives you when the pickup is confirmed.
One pass changes the arithmetic. The America the Beautiful Non-Resident Annual Pass costs 250 dollars and covers the holder plus three more non-residents aged 16 and over travelling with a commercial group. For four adults from outside the US, that is one purchase.
The Rules That Are Not Negotiable
Yellowstone's two standing dangers are both about distance. The operator states the rule plainly: no closer than 100 yards to a bear or a wolf, and 25 yards to every other animal. Feeding anything is prohibited. At thermal areas the boardwalks are the ground, and the operator's FAQ is blunt about why: people have died being careless around these features.
Weather is not a formality. The operator counts on a handful of genuinely nice days, usually in July and August, and asks for a hat, sunglasses, a jacket or sweatshirt, and a rain jacket anyway.
Two practical notes. Tell the operator about food allergies before the day, since the meal sits on its side of the arrangement. And this booking refunds in full up to 24 hours before departure, with nothing back inside that window.
Pickup is wherever you are staying, and the van pulls out at seven. In summer that buys the long loop with Old Faithful on it. In winter it buys the one road that stays open, with almost nobody on it. The operator asks you to leave the evening clear either way, so the only plan left to make is where to eat whenever you get back.
