Old Bicycle In The Tree
3.6 (83)attraction
3.6 (83)Embedded several feet up in a growing maple trunk, this rusted vintage bicycle is a curious Vashon roadside landmark.
Description
Hoisted up decades ago, the child-sized bicycle has been gradually swallowed by the trunk of a large bigleaf maple. As the surrounding timber grew, it locked the metal frame into the wood, creating an eccentric oddity that now serves as a quick roadside stop for island travelers and photographers.
