Ogden (William) Park
4.1 (655)park
A historic 60-acre Englewood park pairing Olmsted design with a boxing gym, sports courts, and a carousel.
Description

Named for Chicago's first mayor, the park opened in 1905 and preserves Frederick C. Hibbard’s octagonal red granite WWII memorial drinking fountain. Beyond the ballfields, the outdoor grounds include a Nature Garden, a walking track, swimming pool, and three playgrounds. Indoors, local programming spans a fitness center, dance studio, and wrestling. It functions as an active civic gathering spot, though visitor experiences can vary across its recreational facilities.
