NYC Fall Foliage Map Leads to the Imagine Mosaic This Month

Follow the NYC fall foliage map to the reservoir and lakes, then end at the mosaic where hundreds sang for Lennon.

Walk the park as the leaves turn.

🍂 Foliage Map, Then Imagine

Central Park has posted its NYC fall foliage map for the season, marking the corners where color has already arrived. Start with the reservoir and the lakes, where still mornings double the reds and golds in the water and boats can be rented by the reservoir.

Strawberry Fields sits near the West 72nd Street entrance, a quiet memorial laid out in 1985 around the Imagine mosaic. On October 9, Lennon's birthday, hundreds of fans gathered there to sing his songs together, and the mosaic draws a small crowd most days. It makes a calm end point for a foliage walk on the west side.

Paths stay open from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM, free live performances and the marionette theater at the Swedish Cottage can stretch the walk into a longer afternoon, and the park holds a 4.8 rating across more than three hundred thousand reviews.
