Fierce mountain winds meet sweeping windward views at this historic pass, the site of Oahu’s pivotal 1795 battle.
Description
Perched along the Ko‘olau mountain range, the lookout opens across sweeping vistas of Kaneohe and Kailua. The pass carries deep Hawaiian historical significance as the setting where Kamehameha I secured his conquest of Oahu in 1795. Alongside the scenery, the setting is defined by its elements: fierce, howling winds funnel across the ridge, generating gusts strong enough to feel remarkably intense.
