Description

Set within Northwest Branch Stream Valley Park as part of the Rachel Carson Greenway, the route unfolds across two distinct sections. Its roughly 8-mile natural surface trail accommodates hikers, bikers, and equestrians, stretching south from Alderton Road near Bonifant Road and crossing Randolph and Colesville roads. Another 1.2 miles beyond Colesville Road, the path transitions into a hard surface trail that connects to the Anacostia Trail, while a parallel greenway path traces the opposite eastern bank between Kemp Mill and Colesville roads.
