North Pole Studio

Founding artist Davis Wohlford named North Pole Studio when he launched it in spring 2020 alongside educators Sula Willson and Mary Ellen Andersen and parent advocate Sarah Mensah. Set within the Pearl District arts corridor, the organization provides materials, workspace, and career support for artists with autism as well as intellectual and developmental disabilities. The setting fosters self-determination and creative risk-taking, encouraging artists to connect, develop their individual craft, and pursue opportunities aligned with their personal goals.
