North Park Walking Stick Woods Natural Area
4.7 (34)park
A secluded 12-acre woodland tucked into the city, with winding mulch trails and well-loved nature play spaces.
Description

Managed by North Park Village Nature Center, this corner of the complex spent decades as a largely unused tract. Today, soft-surface trails wind through rich wildlife and cultural features, maintaining a peaceful, secluded atmosphere right in the city.
Along the paths, you can spot the umbrella-shaped leaves of mayapple and the bright yellow flowers of American senna. Hackberry trees display their bumpy bark along the way, shaping an easygoing outdoor pocket where families can explore and play together at their own pace.
