North Mayfair Park
4.2 (31)park
A North Mayfair pocket park centered on a colorful renovated playground and picnic tables for neighborhood play.
Description

The 0.33-acre grounds trace back to 1930, when the Jefferson Park District acquired the land at the urging of the North Mayfair Community Women's Club to serve the rapidly developing northwest side. One of six neighborhood parks created by the local district before its 1934 consolidation into the Chicago Park District, the site remains purely neighborhood-focused in scope. There is no structured programming on-site—organized activities run at nearby Gompers and Mayfair parks—keeping the space open for simple, self-directed daily visits.
