Description

Established in Northeast Portland’s Rose City Park neighborhood in 1940, the grounds spread across open green space, paved and dirt paths, picnic areas, a playground, and courts for basketball and volleyball.

Erv Lind Stadium, built in 1948 and named after Erv Lind Florists coach Erwin “Erv” Lind, was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2024. Beyond its fast-pitch softball heritage, the stadium is recognized as a historic gathering space for Portland’s LGBTQ2SIA+ community.
