Description
The 0.37-acre grounds grew out of a once-vacant lot acquired in 1969 with federal housing assistance, officially receiving its botanical name in 1975 as part of a wave of parks named for trees and plants. Additional land transferred from the city in 2017 paved the way for an expansion, sustaining the pocket green as an active community space.
