🎃 Friday at Knockdown Center

🎸 Pick Your Room

The 21st Haunted Hop spreads across several themed rooms at Knockdown Center, so the night works best with a loose plan. The Phantasmagorical Ballroom holds the headliners, with full original sets from The Lemon Twigs, Swamp Dogg, Sheer Mag and Jacuzzi Boys. Two side stages, Room Full of Mirrors and Goo Goo Muck Manor, put on a new cover band every 15 minutes all night, each local act playing as a band it loves.

🎞️ Films, Dancing and the 2 AM Contest

Gary Balaban screens slashers, B-movies and monster films from his 16mm collection, while the Howie Pyro Disco keeps DJs on horror 45s. Later the ballroom becomes a dance party with Jonathan Toubin, Mummies A Go Go and MoogStar. The organizer schedules the $500 costume contest for 2 AM, so a costume pays off for anyone staying late. DICE says the night draws well over 4,200 revelers.

🎟️ Tickets, ID and Getting Home

The night runs from 7 PM Friday to 4 AM Saturday at 52-19 Flushing Avenue in Maspeth, and entry is 21 and over with valid photo ID, meaning a US state-issued photo ID or an original passport. The organizer lists standard tickets at $44 in advance and $60 on the day, and on October 22 DICE showed prices from $33.02. Tiers and fees can change. DICE's policy allows refunds within an hour of purchase or if the event is moved or cancelled, and not in the 24 hours before the start. The L at Jefferson Street is about a 17-minute walk and runs overnight, roughly every 20 minutes around 4 AM, so check MTA service alerts before leaving or book a ride home.
