Description

Housed in a historic building along Niles Boulevard, the museum focuses specifically on the Essanay Film Manufacturing Company and the titles shot across Fremont's Niles district, where Broncho Billy Anderson once filmed silent classics. The collection preserves vintage equipment, costumes, photographs, and memorabilia from the silent era. It also houses a functioning theater that hosts regular screenings, frequently accompanied by live organ or piano music and supported by knowledgeable volunteers.
