Originally known as Ward's Mill, the site was purchased circa 1923 by J.E. Nice, Sr. and J.E. Nice, Jr. after moving from Coffee County. While the historic mill structure has been lost to time, the grounds between Murfreesboro and Smyrna still retain scenic historic ruins, creating a calm backdrop for quick nature visits and photography.
