Description

Behind the grand spaces of Dexter Hall and the Klingenstein Library, the museum houses a dense mix of art, documents, and local history. Galleries display organized didactics tracing New York's past, a large-form Picasso masterpiece, and a stained glass window depicting Henry Hudson's arrival. For deeper personal histories, a dedicated section shares first-hand accounts from Holocaust survivors. Families can head to the dedicated children's floor to explore the interactive DiMenna Children’s History Museum.
