New World Stages - Stage 1

As part of the multi-theater New World Stages complex, Stage 1 hosts notable Off-Broadway productions, from Heathers to The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. While it has the scale to mount full-size sets and complex lighting designs, its smaller footprint offers a more intimate alternative to Broadway. Clear sightlines extend throughout the house, meaning even the last row of the orchestra and the mezzanine offer unobstructed views of the stage, though the individual seats run on the smaller side.
