Description
The property was originally homesteaded by Niles Nelson in the late 19th century before passing through several family and corporate owners. The City of Poway later acquired the homestead, moved it from Garden Road, and partnered with the Poway Historical and Memorial Society in 1991 to restore the house for public visits and education.
