NATIONTIME — film screening at Film Forum

William Greaves's documentary captures the 1972 National Black Political Convention in Gary, Indiana, gathering figures from across the political spectrum including Jesse Jackson, Coretta Scott King, and Amiri Baraka. Once considered too militant for television broadcast, the film circulated only in an edited 58-minute cut. A 4K restoration returns the work to its original 80-minute length, presenting ground-level organizing alongside sky-high oratory.
