Nancy Hoover Pohl Overlook at Fryman Canyon
4.7 (660)park
This Mulholland Drive vista pairs sweeping San Fernando Valley views with direct trailheads into Fryman Canyon.
Description

Set on the north side of Mulholland Drive, the overlook is named for Fryman Canyon resident Nancy Hoover Pohl, who spent more than 60 years fighting development in the Santa Monica Mountains and helping create local parkland. Her advocacy directly enabled the preservation of Fryman Canyon, Coldwater Canyon, and Wilacre Park. Aside from canyon scenery, the stop includes an on-site physical fitness course and a direct connection to the five-mile Betty B. Dearing Mountain Trail, another route she championed into existence.
