Name Your Ghost Story on This French Quarter Pub Crawl
A French Quarter night walk with ghost stories between bar stops, on a route the guide can bend toward the story you ask for.
This is a guided walk through the French Quarter after dark, built around ghost stories and the bars you hear them in. The operator describes the material as ghost stories, serial-killer history and true crime, and pitches it as more fascinating than terrifying.
The listing's itinerary opens with an unusual entry. It asks you to name the French Quarter ghost story you want to hear, and it says each guide can alter the route to include requests from guests. If one story matters to you, say so at the meeting point.
The walk starts at MRB Bar & Kitchen on St Philip Street.

Adults only: the listing sells to travelers 21 and over, and one booking takes up to 10 travelers. Drinks are bought separately at each stop. Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund.

The booking page lays out a full haunted itinerary: the Casket Girls story outside the Old Ursuline Convent on Chartres Street, the LaLaurie Mansion on Royal Street, a stop at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop on Bourbon Street, more Royal Street tales, the Axeman of New Orleans, and a pass by the statue in Jackson Square.
Treat that list as a menu. In September 2026, replying to a July 2026 review from a traveler who heard none of those stories, the operator wrote that the published itinerary is a guideline rather than a fixed script, and that guides shape the route around the night, the size of the group and what is happening on the street. It added that some of those stops come up on most tours while others get traded out.
That is the practical reason to ask for your story early.
An Easy Walk, Rain or Shine

The walking is the light part. The operator puts the route at about two hours and roughly a mile of easy, flat walking through the French Quarter, and the listing rates it suitable for all physical fitness levels. A traveler writing in October 2026 guessed about seven blocks in total. The listing also marks the tour as not wheelchair accessible, and it allows up to 28 travelers on a shared departure.
Tours run rain or shine, and much of the night is spent inside bars, by the operator's account. The booking terms do not list bad weather as a reason to cancel.
On the operator's own booking page, the halfway stop is a break for a drink and the restroom, and its blog names Lafitte's as that halfway stop. The same booking page says the walk ends at the entrance to the final bar, in an alley in the center of the French Quarter, and that the guide points you to nearby bars, cafés and restaurants. The listing names no finishing point beyond the French Quarter itself, and neither source says the group walks back to MRB, so plan your own way back.
Drinks Are Yours to Order, or Skip
No drink comes with the ticket. The listing leaves alcoholic beverages out of the price and encourages you to carry one along, since drinks can go outside in New Orleans. The operator adds that drinks are on sale at each stop and that nobody has to drink at all.
The listing also mentions exclusive drink specials. That is not a free round: the operator's own booking page describes a drink discount at a bonus venue, and a January 2026 traveler who expected an included shot did not get one. Bring cash too, since a March 2026 traveler found one bar on their route took cash only.
Every guest has to be 21 or over. The operator's checkout terms accept only a U.S. government-issued ID or a passport, say a foreign driver's license will not be accepted, and leave entry to each venue. If you are visiting from abroad, bring your passport.
Start Times, Open Nights and Halloween
As of October 20, 2026, the booking calendar offered this crawl Thursday through Sunday only, at 8:00 PM on each of those nights, with an added 6:00 PM start on Fridays and Saturdays. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and on that date both the 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM departures for October 31 still showed open.
The operator calls Halloween and October weekends its busiest nights and recommends booking early. The listing also allows a departure to be cancelled if too few travelers book.
Meet at MRB Bar & Kitchen, 515 St Philip Street, where the guide waits at the front entrance with a sign for The Haunted Crawl. Bring a passport or U.S. government-issued ID, some cash, and the name of the ghost you came to hear about.
