Naima Ramos-Chapman: In Place of Monuments

Part of the Apollo Works in Process series, this staged reading of a one-act still in development centers on the friendship of two Black American and Caribbean friends. The script examines how state-sanctioned violence threatens to tear their family and community apart, drawing on memories across time, with movement and dance built into the writing.
