Description

Spanning the Zoushicho and Noborioji-cho districts of eastern Nara, the park grounds sit directly alongside landmark World Heritage sites including Todai-ji, Kasuga Taisha, and Kofuku-ji. Beyond the traditional architecture and scenic greenery, visitors can buy deer crackers to feed the animals—a practice rooted in an Edo-period tradition of human interaction with the park's protected wild deer.
