Description

Gifted by sugar magnate Claus Spreckels and also known as the Spreckels Temple of Music, the shell is the concourse’s oldest structure. A 2020 renovation outfitted the stage with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, anchoring performances in the open park setting. The regular schedule spans everything from the historic Golden Gate Park Band to Midweek Melodies, Friday Happy Hours, and Crucial Reggae Sundays.
