Description
The historic structure was donated in 1965 and physically moved from across the street to its present location before opening in 1968. Inside, visitors can examine the original fieldstone walls and oak and pine floorboards created for the house's first owner, Isaac Valentine. The main level features three galleries of local historical displays, alongside a gift shop stocked for book lovers. Staff and curators are on hand to provide detailed context about the neighborhood's past.
