Museum of African American Art

Set inside Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, the museum was established in 1976 on the principle that art should be an ordinary part of daily life. The galleries pair permanent collection exhibitions with public programming, operating as an open community gathering space that creates cultural experiences for students, families, and lifelong learners.
