Designated a National Historic Landmark, this Moorish Revival synagogue stands as a monument to immigrant aspirations on the Lower East Side. The building fell into major disrepair before undergoing a twenty-year restoration to recover its grand interior. Today, the space can be explored on a self-guided tour using a booklet, allowing visitors to take in the history independently.
