Musée Mécanique
4.7 (8,566)museum
A museum packed with working antique arcade games, fortune tellers, and mechanical curiosities you can still play.
Description

Set at Pier 45 along Fisherman's Wharf, the collection preserves working coin-operated amusements spanning from the late 19th century through the 1980s. Rather than resting behind glass, the floor is filled with playable history, ranging from mechanical musical instruments and dioramas to vintage pinball and varied fortune tellers. While wandering through is free, having quarters on hand allows you to trigger century-old gears, motors, and animations as they were originally built to run.
