Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac

Set within an eclectic building by architect Jean Nouvel surrounded by a verdant garden, the museum houses ethnographic objects, artifacts, and artworks dedicated to the indigenous cultures of Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. The long entranceway to the permanent collection unfolds like an unspooled spiral, leading into a very dark space that makes the art look dramatic. Exhibits feature Benin bronzes, Mardi Gras Indian costumes, and an incredible instrument collection standing the height of the museum. A rooftop restaurant with a separate street entrance offers views of the Eiffel Tower.
