Murphy's Bleachers
4.5 (1,310)bar
Right outside Wrigley Field's outfield wall, this storied bar is packed with decades of Cubs history and memorabilia.
Description

A Wrigleyville fixture for close to 80 years, the tavern originated after Prohibition as Ernie’s Bleachers, selling hot dogs and beer by the pail before serving as home base for the 1960s Bleacher Bums. Its modern footprint took shape under Chicago police detective Jim Murphy, who expanded the space inside and out and opened the neighborhood’s first rooftop in 1984 just in time for the playoffs.
